Global Seed Vault in Norway
The Svalbard Global Seed Vault (Norwegian: Svalbard globale frøhvelv) is a secure seedbank located on the Norwegian island of Spitsbergen near the town of Longyearbyen in the remote Arctic Svalbard archipelago, about 1,300 kilometres (810 mi) from the North Pole. The facility preserves a wide variety of plant seeds in an underground cavern. The seeds are duplicate samples, or "spare" copies, of seeds held in gene banks worldwide. The seed vault will provide insurance against the loss of seeds in genebanks, as well as a refuge for seeds in the case of large-scale regional or global crises. The seed vault is managed under terms spelled out in a tripartite agreement between the Norwegian government, the Global Crop Diversity Trust (GCDT) and the Nordic Genetic Resource Center (NordGen). 22 more images after the break...

Tonight's OUAT: The Heart is a Lonely Hunter
That's the official promo for tonight's episode of "Once Upon a Time," titled, "The Heart is a Lonely Hunter." Obviously several meanings to that one when one watches the previews and reads the official description:
One of the town's residents begins to remember their fairytale past, and Storybrooke mourns the loss of one of their own. Meanwhile, in the fairytale world that was, the Evil Queen attempts to find a heartless assassin to murder Snow White, on "Once Upon a Time," on SUNDAY, DECEMBER 11.
And two more sneak peeks--the second one is my favorite:
Advertising: Espen Askeladd
Dovre has been a Norwegian underwear brand since 1922. This year the title for the campagin was Enchanting Quality. We took one of the most known fairy tale characters, Espen Askeladd, and one of his tales and mixed him with today's fashion.
